Mohd Khairul Izham bin Md Rashid was born in Pahang in 1985. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the UiTM, Shah Alam, in 2010, majoring in painting. In 2007, he participated in the National Virtual Art Gallery’s “Lakarasa Inderapura,” and was a featured artist in the MEAA 2011 exhibition at Soka Gakai Malaysia.
In 2012, he held his first solo exhibition at Gallerie Taksu in Kuala Lumpur, entitled “Chronicles of Lines”. He also participated in an exhibition at Gallerie Taksu in Singapore.
In 2013, Mohd Khairul Izham received a scholarship from Khazanah Nasional Berhad for a residency program at China’s Red Gate Gallery in Beijing. This was followed by an open studio exhibition at the Red Gate Gallery studio.
His other notable group exhibitions, both locally and abroad, include Art Expo Malaysia 2014, Art Expo Malaysia Plus 2015 at MATRADE, “Trans locality” at the OCBC Bank in Singapore (2013), the Shanghai Art Fair in China (2014), and the 2016 Art Stage Singapore.
