Suzlee Ibrahim, born in 1967 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia, is a highly accomplished painter with a career spanning 34 years since 1987. With a notable presence in the Malaysian art scene, Suzlee has received numerous honours and accolades for his contributions to the arts.
Suzlee’s passion for art extends beyond his own practice. He served as a lecturer at the School of Art & Design, Institut Teknologi MARA, and currently holds the position of Dean at the Faculty of Fine Art, ASWARA (National Academy of Arts & Culture) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Throughout his career, Suzlee has gained international recognition, participating in exhibitions across more than 40 countries worldwide. His impressive portfolio includes 40 solo exhibitions, showcasing his artistic versatility and talent.
Suzlee’s artwork has garnered widespread acclaim and is highly sought after by both local and international collectors, including corporate organisations and private art enthusiasts.
With his dedication to the arts, Suzlee has been honoured with prestigious awards, such as the Japan-Malaysia Art Friendship Ambassador by the Ministry of Culture Arts and Heritage Malaysia & World Arts and Culture Exchange Malaysia in 2007. He also received the Gold Medal of Zervas Art in the 5th Paris Art Symposium held in Paris, France, in 2020.
