Wong Kean Choon, born in 1942 in Perak, is a Malaysian artist renowned for his captivating watercolour paintings. With an eastern background as his inspiration, Wong skillfully depicts the landscapes of Malaysia and Bali, incorporating figures of children, women, and animals into his artwork. Wong Kean Choon obtained his art education at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, graduating in 1965. Throughout his career, he has received recognition for his artistic achievements. Some of his notable awards include the Second Prize Winner of the Art Competition held in conjunction with the celebration of Ipoh City Status in 1988. He was also honoured with the Creative Award in the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Alumni Malaysia Exhibition in 1989, acknowledging his exceptional talent and creativity.
